THE MIND that serves Spirit is invulnerable. Key word, THE MIND.
The all-loving slant of the 3D spiritual world means that we tend to think of spirituality and the journey in terms of emotions; reaching for vague concepts like ‘love’.
But the journey is mental - it happens in your mind; most notably your inner voice.
You can serve God with your heart and soul, to a degree, but where the action is, the frontline of everything? That’s your inner voice. The thoughts that are running around in your head.
And those thoughts are what control the emotion you’re feeling.
Many journeyers make the mistake of trying to get back to the good-feeling emotions all the time; wanting to hit that joy plateau and live there. In fact this is what most of us expect - until a point on the journey lol.
So what messes up that good feeling? Yip that’s right - the thoughts you’re having.
You could be at the perfect event, with the perfect people, and have all your dreams come true, but your whole mind can be taken up by one bad inner voice thought that is cycling over and over in your head. So instead of having a blast, and feeling good, you barely notice the event, focusing instead on the one tiny aspect that is not right.
This is why we deal thoughts first - because one thought has the power to change everything. And your thoughts determine how you feel.
So don’t serve God with your heart, serve God with your mind.
Put all your practice into the mental focus of the journey, into the very thoughts you’re thinking.
Then you are always in control of how you feel, and you can stay connected to God regardless of what your feelings are - which means God can reach you when you are at rock bottom too.
But once God is in your head, you don’t hit rock bottom anymore. The peace stays all the time - regardless of the circumstances around you.
